I've finally fixed on the name of my army, "Malleus Deus Sanguinem" or the Hammer of the Blood God. The concept for the army (and I plan on writing some real fluff for it) is that they are the remnants of the XIV company of the XII Legion Astartes, World Eaters - a company that Angron repurposed as a siege company. Their role within the Legion was to crack open fortifications and deal with enemy armor. This lets me "justify" the inclusion of a number of tanks (I love vehicles) and a squad of regular traitor marines with Meltas. I still give everything the Mark of Khorne and the bulk of the...

Under New Management Following widespread rumours of corruption and dishonesty, the Slag Valley Star has gone into liquidation. It was reputed to be blatantly pro House Van Saar to the detriment of all other Houses on Hive Primus. Thankfully following the outlawing of the infamous Psi Judges- a terrible band of reprobates who used the Slag Valley Star as a means of maintaining a façade of legality- their printing press and seditious rumor-mongering is no...

Well this blog is all about the various goings on in Slag Valley, the area of Hive Primus that I play out in necromunda games. Many years ago my gaming group used to publish a newsletter detailing the various goings on around Slag Valley and Fornication Gulch. So this is the intro, next post will be the first Issues of the Slag Valley Star (it changed its name following a scandal involving corruption within the paper) and then the more impartial Slag Valley Bullett. At the end of some articles any subject in square brackets [like these] denote actual campaign events that ran until the next...

Woo hoo! I'm up to two completed models. *sigh. Painting is a slow process for me. I've got one berserker done and my dreadnaught. I hope to have pictures soon but... It is what it is. We will not be counting basing - I haven't decided what I want to do there yet.

Don't. I repeat. Don't use them. Whilst the "dusty rose" color may look appropriate the paint comes out thick and goopy and it fills in all the details. It also covers you in paint. I swear I could've been an extra in SAW VII. Let's just say it again, Boyd spray paint sucks.

After my first fabulous game with my Berserkers I thought it'd be fun to try out an alternate rule to the standard victory scoring. Here's the calculation: Add up all the models removed as a casualty. Divide by the number of players. Round up. If the result is > 0 then Khorne wins. Heh.
