Good morning, my miniature addicted friends! So here’s what I’ve been working on: First, I’ve moved the site outta beta (sorta) and published a kinda press release a couple of places. OMFM! Check out the content that’s been posted over the last few days! WAY MORE! And it’s great content. We’ve got oodles of battles, some great galleries, and a bunch of new players from all over. I’m absolutely delighted. Huge thanks to Tabletop Gaming News ( http://tabletopgamingnews.com ) for pimpin’ the site. So with that said, since we last left...
Here's my test base for my Legion army. Going for an ice effect. I'm using "Tim Holtz Distress crackle paint: clear rock candy". I used these two threads as inspiration. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/43463-tutorial-creating-ice... It's pretty simple. I painted my basing area with fenrisian gray. I cut up some small slivers of clear plastic from a blister pack and glued...
I’m deliriously pleased to announce that iToysoldiers ( http://itoysoldiers.com ) is ready for prime time! Over the last while I’ve been building a website for miniature war game addicts. iToysoldiers lets you track the results of your battles, show off pictures of your armies, and tells us your thoughts on the hobby in general. The best bit? iToysoldiers is system agnostic! Whether you play Warhammer Fantasy Battles, Warhammer 40k, Warmachine/Hordes, X-Wing, or any other game we’ve got you covered. The even better bit? iToysoldiers is...
So I just wanted to take a bitsy to gush about my new wet palette! It makes a huge difference. The paint goes on more evenly, my brushes aren't as brutalized, and it appears that I'm wasting less paint. So easy to make. I followed this tutorial: http://www.fullborerminiatures.com/articles/wetpalette.html. I used the top of a Ferro Rocher candy box with a standard kitchen sponge and the parchment paper. Very happy with it. Highly recommend it to anyone who's having brush longevity and/or paint thickness...
I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank Games Workshop for throwing the Dirge Caster into the Chaos Codex. At only five points it's the best upgrade you can possibly add to a World Eater vehicle. I mean, really! No overwatch? Heh. I have to remember to really remind my opponents that I have 'em on all my vehicles and what they do before the game 'cause I don't like the look on people's faces when they find out that they can't open fire on my berserkers at the time of the assault. It seems... I don't know... Unsporting. I think it might help if I got the little bit attached to them all...
Good morning, my gamers! It’s been a bitsy since the last development update so I figured I’d give you a bit of what’s been going on. We’ve now got players reporting games in four different countries! Canada, the US, the UK, and Greece! Yay! I’m so happy. As for new stuff, the biggest thing for you, commanders of hordes of toy soldiers, is the stats page. I’ve completely revamped it for the New Year. You can take a gander at http://itoysoldiers.com/stats. It’s got more stats, it’s broken up by all time, yearly and monthly stats and...
