Greetings, Warlords, Commanders, and game enthusiasts! 2013 is behind us and so now is a great time to look back at the year and dive into some of the statistics that we’ve gathered whilst playing with our toy soldiers. All the numbers for 2013 can be found at http://itoysoldiers.com/stats/yearly so I’m not going to parrot them here. But I will take some time to go over some of the tidbits I thought were interesting: First I want to thank each and every one of you who’s contributed to the success of the site. We’re doing...

Yay! Christmas was good to the forces of Khorne! I love them both! I've started building 'em and hope to get the Bloodcrushers painted fairly quickly so I can field 'em in the next event I participate in. The Lord of Skulls may be a much longer process 'cause a) I want to do a good job putting it together and b) it's a huge model.Just want to say, Blood for the Blood God!
Greetings, my gamer friends! This blog post is all about stats. Which are cool. And of which we have much. I’m working on a yearly/monthly “state of war games” type report which’ll give kind of a dashboard of the battles that were reported on iToysoldiers. I think it’s pretty slick. I’ll even be commenting on the 2013 stats when they’re available in four days – not that I’ll be commenting on the first. That’s just silly talk but they mechanism to generate the stats will be available. If you want to take a quick peak at what’s in place now you can venture over to...
Been working on my Legion force; making a priority of getting my beasts finished. Did a little repose on the heavy beast plastic kit and mounted it up on some "rocks" I made out of blue foam. The arms and heads have been magnetized so I can use it as a Carnivean, Scythean, or Ravagore. I'm doing the same with the Carnivean that came with the 2 player battlebox. ...
Greetings, my friends! I'm churning away at various fiddly bits on the site and doing some research on narrative campaigns. One of the best resources I've found (other than a bunch of examples from various folks on the Internet) is this site called, "Going on Campaign" ( http://goingoncampaign.blogspot.ca/ ). It talks about how to go about organizing a campaign, scoring it, making it interesting and fun as well as the various mechanics that need to be in place to ensure success. I'm a pretty big fan of the site and I highly...
I've never liked the idea of foam carrying bags for my miniatures so when I had to face the inevitable dilemma of transporting my miniatures, I decided to magnetize everything and use a custom made case. I've used this case (pictured below) for about a year and a half now without any major problems. I made it from a case that housed a Ridgid palm sander at one time and a bit of sheet metal. However, I've never been completely satisfied with this solution and have been ever on the lookout for something better. I seriously considered just dropping the cash on a Tablewar case as they ARE...
