Greetings, gamers! Last week was kind of a mixed bag. I didn’t get done with nearly as much as I would’ve liked to… But I did correct some issues with war zones so that they work proper like (which means I’m almost ready to release ‘em into the wild) AND I got the Facebook app working! I’m not 100% happy with how it’s displaying on the site (if you connect your FB account to iToysoldiers you can post battles on Facebook. Nifty, eh?). Eventually I want to add more FB interaction but for now… Give it a shot and let me know what you think. So the not so good news. The site was totally useless...

Oh, this is slick! If you visit one of your battles you can click, "Share on Facebook" - the one at the top - and it'll post it as a battle on Facebook. How cool is that?!?!?! I'm still working on layout and the like but it works, it shares the event with your friends, and allows for bragging rights on one of the more prevalent social networks out there. I'm so pleased. So very pleased.
I got these two models some time ago with the intent of using them as spirit hosts and then I thought they'd make good banshees as well. I decided to put little magnets into the bottom of each miniature and then I put a thin sheet of metal on a 40mm base and two 20mm bases so they can act as either a spirit host or two banshees. While the miniatures are beautiful, I wanted them to look more scary and more true to the artwork in the Vampire Counts army book. I set about grinding their pretty little faces off with an xacto and a dremel. Then I sliced off the faces from some skeleton and zombie...
Lots of improvements but I missed a goal I was aiming for. One thing I’m pretty pleased with is that I’m not going to be given the award for Battle Champion. Right now it’s between PolarOne and Thade. If you haven’t entered your games in for July you’ll want to do that before the 1st of August or else you won’t be in the running for a very slick achievement. I really really wanted to have the Ladder League ready for folks to use and had the intention of creating one for my buddies in the Chosen Realms up and available. After trying to build one from the ground up I noticed several things that...
It's hard for me to stay focused on one thing right now. I got a good start into my Space Marines and now I'm painting some Dwarfs. And the worst part?, I'll probably work on some undead after these guys are finished. Or maybe I'll go back to Space Marines. Ahhhh, miniature painting ADD! Well, last spring I purchased Mantic's Kings of War 2 player set. I painted up most of the Undead half but haven't touched the Dwarf half until now. Got a chance to use my new compressor to basecoat them all in enchanted blue. SMURFS!!!...
I'm pretty behind on my blog posting and I'm trying to get caught up a little. Over the last several months I started using an airbrush to do my basecoating for all my miniatures. Last year I had picked up a cheap airbrush at Harbor Freight with the intention of trying it out. Couldn't really go wrong for $9. It sat in its box for a good year before I finally broke it out to try. I actually didn't own an air compressor but was borrowing a friend's...
