Da Maneaterz are a unique Blood Axe tribe that found their roots in a marauding Bad Moonz warband that formerly used to terrorize the Tau/Imperial border. The clan used to raid both Tau and Imperial worlds, soon growing wealthy and more prosperous as time went on. The Bad Moonz Warboss, soon growing fat and lazy, allowed his Nobz to lead their forces to battle. The largest and most ambitious of these Nobz was Dreggrod, the soon to be leader of the clan and founder of Da Maneaterz. Dreggrod led his boyz to victory, growing larger and more fearsome with every battle won. Soon enough, more than half the tribe had pledged their loyalties to him rather than their lazy overlord. It was then that Dreggrod decided to overthrow his master and cement his dominance over the tribe. While the tribe was drifting through the Warp, Dreggrod led his boyz to the bridge of their Kill Krooza, slaughtering any git that got in their way. Dreggrod finally managed to cut his way to his former master, who was donning his set of Mega Armor.
The ensuing battle was fierce but Dreggrod endured. After three bloody days, the Warboss lay dead at the Nobz' feet, broken and mangled beyond recognition. Dreggrod wasn't unscathed however, he lost his arm to the Warbosses' power klaw. He didn't mind too much. He had demonstrated that he was the baddest, most ferocious Ork in the tribe and that he, not the Bad Moon coward, was Boss. He is still known as Dreggrod da Traitor by the most senior of Da Maneaterz to this day.
Everything fell into place shortly after the coup. That is until their Kill Krooza had an oopsie and crashed into an obscure little jungle Deathworld.
After the apocalyptic crash, the Orks made haste taking what they could before leaving the burning ruins of their starship. The tribe cut away a small portion of the jungle and set up camp. With no way off world, the Orks would have to make do with what they had. Soon, exploration teams were sent out to find what they could. Many found remnants of a former Ork WAAAGH; burnt out wrecks of vehicles, totem poles and eventually isolated populations of Feral Orks. They incorporated these into the tribe, you can't go wrong with a little more manpower.
Rumors spread throughout the camp, it was said that an exploration team was attacked by something in the night. Dreggrod got a whiff of the rumors and was immediately curious. He gathered up a mob of Boyz and set out that evening, determined to find what ever had the gall to pick a fight with da Boyz. It wasn't long before he found what he was looking for. The Orks had stumbled upon a camp in the woods occupied by the spindly forms of Kroot, all huddled by a fire.
It was then that Dreggrod recognized something vaguely familiar about the Kroot, something vaguely Orky. The Kroot, having been stranded on the planet some time ago, had nothing to eat but Orks and the occasional human exploratory team. Ork DNA had been so integrated into their systems that they gave off a faint WAAAGH! field common with all Orkoid species. Dreggrod hesitated for a moment as these creatures seemed to be more Ork then they were Kroot, or perhaps some blend of the two. Either way, these were right proper, brutally kunning, orky critters. Dreggrod, instead of cutting them down, invited them into the tribe with open arms.
The camp was soon taking in a constant tide of Feral Orks and Kroot as well as the many Kroot subspecies. The process wasn't seamless however, as some of the Orks had a hard time accepting the Kroot in their tribe, some were even openly hostile. Dreggrod quickly stamped out any hostilities between the two groups, making it clear that what he says goes without question. With the Orks and Kroot forced to cooperate, bonds and cultural exchanges were soon made. The Orks offered up technology to the Kroot and in exchange the Kroot showed the Orks the mercenary style of life as well as their habit of eating the bodies of their fallen foes. Some Orks became very well known and accomplished chefs, cooking up delicacies such as "Gorskulz Baargh-Bee-Kyoo Ribz" or "Gudgrubz 'Nid Wingz", all best served with a tankard of Bog Rok Grog. Over time, the two groups became a single integrated entity. Eventually, a mob of Boys would have no qualms when a Kroot Shaper was assigned to lead them into battle. Likewise, a Carnivore squad wouldn't have issues with a Nob in their kindred, provided it was stealthy enough to keep up with them.
And so Da Maneaterz were born.
A few months passed, and the Orks have unearthed a marooned Kroot Warsphere. Many of it's systems were in good shape and could quite conceivably become space worthy with some major repair work. The Orks got to work almost immediately. The Kill Krooza was stripped of parts for the Sphere and all the Meks of the tribe were enthusiastically hammering away. The result was a pinnacle of Ork engineering. They had converted the Kroot starcraft into a mountain of scrap, absolutely bristling with guns that would make even the mightiest of Imperial vessels pale in comparison. This vessel was dubbed, "The Maw of Dreggrod". The newborn tribe then took to the stars, lending their WAAAGH! to anyone who was willing to pay for it.
They still visit their "homeworld" every once in awhile.
Dreggrod da Traitor, Da Maneater, Menace of the Ekontekh Dynasty (Not modelled) - The bold leader of Da Maneaterz. He is absolutely massive for an Ork and many of his Nobz could be warbosses in their own right. He rules his tribe with an iron fist, quite literally, stamping out possible insurgents and reinforcing his will. His orders go without question. On a lighter note, he is open to the input of his peers, especially when designing a battle plan or siege. Being a Blood Axe, he is a lot more intelligent than Warbosses of other clans. He also has enough, though not considerable, patience to see his plans through. He loves nothing more than a good roast squig and a tankard of fungus beer onboard his ship after a hard fought battle or the look on a client's face when he stabs them in the back after doing their dirty work.
Ku Pijon, Master Shaper (Not Modelled) - The most senior of the Shapers and closest associate of Dreggrod. Ku Pijon is a monstrously large Kroot, undoubtedly due to his Orkish DNA. Looks are decieving however, Ku is easily one of the most cunning (but brutal) Kroot in the tribe. He acts as a vizier to The Maneater, often assisting him with business dealings where delicacy and patience is key (both of which Orks are not well known for). Cunningly brutal, and brutally cunning, he is highly valued by Dreggrod who affectionately reffers to him as "Koozy". Ku Pijon stomps into battle with a powered blade and a kustom shoota.
Urzog Gubbinpantz - An eccentric Mekboy who loves to dabble with things he probably shouldn't. He lost his legs to an unfortunate accident involving a rogue Killa Kan. Many of the Big Mek's in the tribe value Urzog for his ability to add just that little bit of dakka or choppy to anything he lays his claws on. Though very young for an Ork of his stature, he is anything but harmless. He is notorious for bringing the creature known as Snipperz into being.
Snipperz (not modelled) - A Looted Carnifex. Found wounded and crippled by Urzog during his mission to purge a moon of Tyranid life. Upon seeing the wounded beast, Urzog's twisted mind got to work. He called over a mob of Boyz to load the beast unto a trukk and onto the Maw of Dreggrod. There, he and the resident painboys performed many surgeries, notably a squig brain transplant. Soon enough, the cybernetic monstrosity came into being. Urzog considered this as probably one of the most profound achievements of his life and came to affectionately call his pet "Snipperz" after the creature's new set of mechanical claws and buzz saws.
Guurgh - A Nob of Da Maneaterz. Known for his habit of being a total asshole. He has a fierce rivalry with Goff Silvergob.
Goff Silvergob - A Nob of Da Maneaterz. Known for his mob of hard boys, "Silvergob's Hard Gitz". He is the most Goff-like of the Maneaterz. His arm was once cleaved clean off by a Space Marine Terminator. That same Terminator was torn apart by Silvergob soon after and his arm replaced by the Terminator's power fist. Has a fierce rivalry with Guurgh.
Timeline and Recent Events
Ekontehk War - Dreggrod and his Maneaterz engage the Necron of the Ekontehk Dynasty, pushing them off Imperial Worlds and into the depths of space. There is a temporary lull in the fighting as Da Maneaterz participate in the War for Raxxus.
The Maneaterz, seeing opportunity in allying with the Black WAAAGH!, fought hardily throughout the Raxxus campaign. They fought with distinguishment, slowly but surely rising to a rank of high prestige among the warbands assembled. Dreggrod was designated the Warlord of the Raxxus campaign, leading alongside Grimarg in the final battle that saw the forces of the Prophecy and the Lynch Coalition shattered. The battle, though won, struck a heavy blow to the Ork leadership. Grimarg was slain and the command structure fell apart with Dreggrod holding a vestige of his former power over lesser clans. He replenished his losses, and left Raxxus a fundementally changed Ork. His exposure to the corruption of Grimarg left it's toll on Dreggrod, he would carry a hint of madness, even into the Carnivora campaign.

The Battle for Carnivora
The final battle of Carnivora shattered the morale of The Maneaterz and left them severely undermanned. Many Orks and Kroot within the clan lost faith in their leader, who grew ever more maddened by the corruption festering in his soul. A coup was staged ad the tribe waged a brutal civil war on the Maw of Dreggrod. Challengers rose to face down Dreggrod and wrestle leadership from him, but all were cut down by the warlord's new found power.
The Kroot of the tribe, knowing of Dreggrod's corruption gathered what they could and fled from the Maw during the confusion, but not without extreme casualities. Under the leadership of Ku Pijon, the survivors reached Malor, a heavily contested Hiveworld.
The Maneaterz now ply the outer reaches of Imperial space as pirates, raiding supply lines and growing their strength.
