Alright so after my first battle in 8th addition and reading over some of the rules a few times over I thought of another list in the hopes that this might work abit better . Now this is still running some of my favorite units but with some changes I had with my first army. In my first list I had alot of elite infantry plus a few psykers and then from there a few specialist I found I had a hard time dealing damage and despite my movement I had a tough time getting out my deployment. I also found that my units had a hard time supporting each other. The big advantage I had though was mass firepower at close range and in this list im going to do this with a improved standoff ability. The other thing im going for is a high amount of infantry while still being able to keep up the pressure. Im also hoping to use some units abilities to give my army a chance. So lets see how this goes and hope to hear what people think of this 8th edition list.
do you think this is enough anti tank? Lots of people in the club for instance have imperial knights, i think the list would struggle taking 24 wounds off a target such as that. It would be easy to add to your tactical squads, 4 lascannons maybe at the expense of the whirlwind (and you have 24 more points to spend still). At -1 to hit while moving, heavy weapons are viable on the go this edition.
also, i think you should always run double storm bolter on a rhino now, its only 4 points total but can give you 8 strength 4 shots when rapid fired, about as points effective as you can get for the points imo.
